Mr. S.K. Dhanuka, Chairman of the group, commenced the business of trading electrical items which carter to the various needs of the OEM’s

Group’s sincere and honest business policies with quality products and customer service earned a goodwill in the market amongst the OEM’s of power sector resulting in increased market share.

Anup Insulations private ltd was incorporated to start manufacturing of super enameled and paper covered copper and aluminum round wires and strips.

Umang Boards Private Limited was incorporated to manufacture cellulose based insulation pre compressed pressboards for distribution transformer manufacturers.

Umang Boards set up a office and warehouse in Bangkok ( Thailand ) to extend its reach to south east Asia customers and carter to the increasing demand for Umang’s cellulose insulation pressboards.

“Umang House” corporate office is set up in Jaipur which serves the headquarters for group. The corporate office was built with fully equipped meeting spaces and cabins to incorporate employees in a professional working environment.

Umang Boards sets up expansion project for the following : 

1.Power Transformer cellulose insulation pressboards
2. Calendared Boards
3.Machined and moulded components

With the ever increasing demand for transformer products in the south east and far east markets, Umang Boards Thailand Co. Ltd is set up to serve as service center for CRGO and insulating materials for power and distribution transformers.

Umang Boards sets up expansion project for the following :

1.Crepe paper tapes and tubes
2.Diamond dotted paper plant.

Purchased land admeasuring 51,000 sq. mtrs for further expansion and names it as unit 2

Umang boards sets up the following projects in unit 2

1.Aluminum and copper enameled and paper coated round and flat wires.
2.Insulating Varnish Plant
